At Underwood Baptist Church, we are committed to helping children know Christ and grow in their faith. Through Sunday School, Children's Church, AWANA, Sunbeams, Vacation Bible School, and other activities, children are taught God's Word in a safe, caring, and age-appropriate environment. Families from La Porte, Deer Park, Pasadena, Baytown, and surrounding communities are welcome to participate in our children's ministries.

Nursery
Loving nursery care is available during all church services for newborns through age 4 in our main building. Our nursery workers provide a safe and caring environment while parents attend worship services and Bible classes.
Sunday School
Sunday School classes meet each Sunday morning at 9:30 AM and are organized by age and grade level. Children learn Bible lessons, Scripture memory, and practical applications from God's Word.
Children’s Church
Sunday morning after the song service for ages 3 through 5th grade. Children take part in the opening of the service and songs in the main auditorium and are then dismissed for focused children’s lessons in downstairs in Building B. Lessons are designed specifically for children and help them understand biblical truths at their level.
Sunbeams
Sunbeams is our Wednesday evening summer children's program featuring Bible lessons, games, activities, music, and opportunities for children to grow in their understanding of God's Word.
AWANA
AWANA meets on Wednesday evenings during the school year and helps children learn and memorize Scripture while participating in games, activities, and Bible lessons.
Vacation Bible School
Each summer Underwood Baptist Church hosts Vacation Bible School featuring Bible lessons, music, games, crafts, and activities designed to teach children about Jesus Christ in a fun and engaging environment. See the VBS Page for Details
